Frontline report Day 640: Ukrainian Forces Repel Enemy Attacks on Multiple Fronts and Turn the Tide in the South

In the face of relentless attacks, Ukrainian soldiers have demonstrated unwavering resilience and determination across various fronts, countering enemy assaults and maintaining a strong defense. Over the past day, a total of 72 combat engagements unfolded, with the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelling multiple attacks and inflicting losses on the enemy.

On November 25, there were many important updates from the front of the clashes between the Ukrainian army and the army of the Russian invaders – YouTube channel Meanwhile in Ukraine reports

In the Kupyansk sector, fierce enemy assault operations were reported in the areas of Synkivka, Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region. The Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 15 attacks, showcasing their steadfast commitment to defending their territory. Similarly, in the Bakhmut sector, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 11 enemy attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiyivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, consolidating their positions and inflicting losses on the adversary.

The Avdiivka sector witnessed persistent attempts by the enemy, backed by air power, to encircle Avdiivka. Despite these challenges, Ukrainian soldiers stood firm, dealing substantial blows to the enemy and successfully repelling a total of 30 attacks in the region. The defensive success extended to the east of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Severne, and Pervomayske in the Donetsk region.

Simultaneously, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continued offensive operations in the Melitopol sector, strategically inflicting losses on the occupation forces and maintaining pressure along the entire front line. In the Kherson sector, Ukrainian forces held their positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, engaging in counter-battery combat and inflicting fire on the enemy’s rear.

As winter set in, the challenging weather conditions in Ukraine did not deter the Ukrainian forces. In fact, Ukrainians managed to launch counterattacks in certain areas of the front, further complicating the situation for the enemy.

Additionally, recent developments in the Avdiivka direction revealed a shift in Russian tactics. After initial waves of attacks on Ukrainian flanks yielded little success, the Russian command shifted its focus to the southern part of the region. Opening two vectors of attack along highways, Russian forces aimed for strategic locations, including the “Tsarska Okhota” restaurant and a small industrial zone.

The defense of the industrial zone presented challenges for Ukrainian forces due to its proximity to the initial contact line from 2014. Russian forces, with their main logistical center nearby, created a dense barrage of fire, causing problems for Ukrainian defenders. However, Ukrainian commanders, reevaluating the situation, devised a new plan.

Recognizing the unproductive nature of staying under constant fire, Ukrainian forces strategically withdrew, leaving the rubble and enticing Russian forces into an open area. With control over the small forest surrounding the industrial zone and fortifications southwest of the area, the Ukrainians launched a successful counterattack from three sides.

Russian claims of breaching Ukrainian defenses and establishing control over the plant proved premature, as the lack of shelters and destruction of artillery support hindered their advance. Ukrainian drone operators played a crucial role, showcasing videos of strikes and revealing the vulnerability of Russian mechanized units. Russian attempts to capitalize on capturing the industrial zone resulted in a trap, with increased troop numbers leading to scattered bodies and a realization among some Russian analysts that premature claims of success were unjustified.
