Enemy focuses its efforts on four directions, 40 engagements recorded last day

This is stated in the morning report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.

“At night, the Russian Federation launched yet another missile and air strike on Ukraine with Shahed Iranian-made combat UAVs. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified. According to the updated information, over the past day, the Russian invaders attacked Ukraine with Shahed Iranian-made combat UAVs, seven anti-aircraft guided missiles of S-300 surface-to-air missile system, and one Iskander-M cruise missile targeting civilian infrastructure objects of Zaporizhzhia. 30 Shahed UAVs were destroyed by the air defense forces and means,” the report reads.

In addition, the enemy launched 83 airstrikes and 58 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and populated settlements.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, and Maryinka directions, heavy fighting continues. Forty combat engagements took place over the past day.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine. Airstrikes were launched on Yanzhulivka, Leonivka in Chernihiv region; Kozacha Lopan in Kharkiv region. Mortars and artillery were fired at the settlements of Halahanivka, Karpovychi in Chernihiv region; Kindrativka, Brusky, Basivka, Loknia, Myropilske, Yunakivka, Bachivsk, Stepne in Sumy region; Ivashky, Rozhkovichy, Huryiv Kozachok, Udy, Maryino, Vysoka Yaruha, Morokhovets, Ternova, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Budarky, Ustynivka, Chuhunivka, Ambarne, Hryhorivka in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy launched an airstrike on the settlement of Kolodiazne, Kharkiv region. Fyholivka, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kyslivka, and Berestove in Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.

In Lyman direction, the enemy carried out offensive actions in Kreminna–Yampolivka direction. Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Torske, Serebrianka, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of Orikhovo–Vasylivka, Donetsk region. Airstrikes were launched on the settlements of Khromove and Bila Hora. The areas of Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Ozarianivka, Bila Hora, Kostiantynivka, Druzhba, and Pivnichne in Donetsk region came under enemy artillery fire.

In Avdiyivka direction, the enemy launched an airstrike near Avdiyivka and Sieverne, and carried out unsuccessful offensive operations in Avdiyivka area. Pervomaiske and Nevelske settlements in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In Maryinka direction, the enemy launched an air strike in the area of Maryinka and shelled Krasnohorivka, Heorhiyivka, Maryinka, and Pobieda in Donetsk region.

In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy went on the offensive toward Novomykhaylivka, had no success. Hostre, Paraskoviyivka, and Novomykhaylivka in Donetsk region were struck.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to hold the defense. Airstrikes were launched in the areas of Storozheve, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Blahodatne, Makarivka in Donetsk region; Novodanylivka, Zaporizhzhia, Komyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia region; Kozatske, Odradnokamyanka, Kherson in Khersonr region. Artillery was fired at Blahodatne, Neskuchne, Makarivka, Storozheve, Vremivka, Zelene Pole, Novopil in Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Levadne, Chervone, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Charivne, Novoandriyivka, Stepove, Pyatykhatky, Lobkove, Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Zolota Balka, Mykhaylivka, Novooleksandrivka, Dudchany, Kachkarivka, Shliakhove, Kozatske, Mykolayivka, Burhunka, Ivanivka, Sadove, Pridniprovske, Naddniprianske, Molodizhne, Zymivnyk, Bilozerka, Romashkove, Veletenske, Kherson, Dniprovske, Kizomys in Kherson region, Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region; Ochakiv in Mykolayiv region.

“Over the past day, the Air Force of the defense forces launched nine strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas and three more – on its anti-aircraft missile systems. Also, our defenders destroyed four enemy reconnaissance UAVs. Missile and artillery units hit three command posts, one personnel and military equipment concentration area, three EW stations, 18 artillery units on firing positions, an air defense system, and six more important enemy objects,” reads the report.
