  • Novopavlivka direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled 13 attacks near Pryvilne, Rozlyv, Bulatske, and Konstyantynopol.
  • Huliaipole direction: Russian forces attacked three times near Novopil.
  • Orikhiv direction: Ukrainian forces repelled 7 attacks near Stepove and toward the settlements of Lobkove and Shcherbaky.
  • Kursk region: Ukrainian forces repelled 22 enemy assaults.

Russian Losses

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of the morning of March 20, 2025, Russia’s total combat losses amounted to:

  • Personnel: ~899,470 troops (+1,400 in the past 24 hours).
  • Tanks: 10,377 units (+13).
  • Armored combat vehicles: 21,561 units (+38).
  • Artillery systems: 24,747 units (+43).
  • MLRS: 1,322 units (+2).
  • Air defense systems: 1,110 units (+3).
  • UAVs (Operational-Tactical Level): 29,895 units (+179).
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks: 41,094 units (+91).

Diplomatic Initiatives and Negotiations

On March 19, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump held a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. During the discussion, they addressed the possibility of achieving a partial ceasefire, particularly regarding strikes on energy and civilian infrastructure.
